Summer meals will be offered at Tarkington Middle School Monday–Thursday during the month of June. 

                Breakfast: 7:30–8:30am

                Lunch: 11:30am – 1:00pm  

Anyone 18 and under may eat free of charge; they do not have to reside in or attend  TISD to receive meals.

This program is for students in grades 3–8 who are enrolled as of the last day of school in TISD and need to meet the promotional standards, specifically with regards to attendance and academic preparedness for the next grade level.

Tarkington Elementary and Middle Summer Schools Location: Tarkington Middle School

Dates: Monday, June 3 - Thursday, June 6

            Monday, June 10 – Thursday, June 13

Student Hours: 8:30 a.m.–12:00 a.m.

Student Meals: Breakfast 8:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m., Lunch 12:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

This program is for students in grades 9–12 who need credit recovery. They will work on these credits via the program “Edgenuity.”

Tarkington High School Summer School Location: Tarkington Middle School

Student Attendance Dates: Monday, June 3 – Thursday, June 6

                                                   Monday, June 10 - Thursday, June 13

                                                   Monday, June 17 - Thursday, June 20

Student Hours: 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Student Meals: Breakfast 8:00 AM–8:30 AM; Lunch 12:00 p.m.–12:30 p.m.

This program is for students who have not passed any of the 5 end-of-course tests required for graduation in Texas. This program will offer testing preparation before the test dates of June 24-27th.

THS Summer EOC Remediation Location: Tarkington Middle School

Dates: June 17–20, 2024

EOC June Test Dates: June 24–27, 2024

Student Hours: 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Student Meals: Breakfast 8:00 AM–8:30 AM; Lunch 12:00 PM–12:30 pm

This program is for eligible students who are receiving special education services. For information about the ESY summer school program, contact the Special Education Department at lahicks@libertyisd.net

Extended School Year Services (ESY) Location: Tarkington Early Childhood School 
Dates: Mondays–Thursdays on June 17–20; June 24-27; and July 8–11 (no cafeteria services provided in July)
Student Hours: 8:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.

This program is for eligible students who are receiving “Emergent Bilingual" services. For more information about the ESL summer school program, contact the ESL Director at srena@tarkingtonisd.net

ESL Summer School Program Location: Tarkington Early Childhood School 
Dates: June 3-6, June 10-13, June 17-20, and June 24-27
Student Hours: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Student Meals: Breakfast 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM, Lunch 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
