Parental permission is required for any student pursuing membership in a curricular or non-curriculum related club that meets on campus. This requirement applies to all clubs. The form must be signed by
a parent or legal guardian and returned to the sponsor of the curricular club, or the staff monitor for the non-curriculum related student club before the student may be enrolled as a member of the club, attend
any on campus meetings for the club, or participate in any on campus activities for the club.

Notice Regarding Ability to Refuse Entry or Eject Certain Persons and Appeals Process
As per Board policy GKA (LOCAL) Access to District Property: Authorized District officials, including school resource officers and District police officers if applicable, may refuse to allow a person access to property under the District’s control in accordance with law. District officials may request assistance from law enforcement in an emergency or when a person is engaging in behavior rising to the level of criminal conduct.
In accordance with Education Code 37.105, a District official shall provide a person refused entry to or ejected from property under the District’s control written information explaining the right to appeal such refusal of entry or ejection under the District’s grievance process. A person appealing under the District’s grievance process shall be permitted to address the Board in person within 90 days of filing the initial complaint, unless the complaint is resolved before the Board considers it. Each graduating class, or cohort, receives important information from the high school counseling office regarding upcoming events, such as testing dates, available scholarships, etc. If you would like to receive this information, please send your name and your student(s) name(s) with their graduation year to our Director of Technology, Crystal Dean at cdean@tarkingtonisd.net.
