Mission

The mission of the Tarkington ISD Technology Department is to provide technology solutions to the staff and students of Tarkington ISD so that they can meet their goals and deliver their best results.

Goals

Incorporate technology into everyday instruction to provide all students with the appropriate learning opportunities they need to be successful in school, life, and their careers.
Provide information, skills, and classroom practices to TISD educators and support personnel in order to transform teaching and learning for all TISD students.
Increase the reach and capacity of TISD's infrastructure to support teaching and learning by providing a reliable, secure, and robust network.

Tarkington High School Student 1:1 Device Program

Our focus for the Student 1-to-1 Device program is to provide equipment and resources that meet the needs of today’s students. Providing each student with a Chromebook will allow them more access to digital education resources over and above those offered during the school day. It will individualize learning, prompt creativity and innovation, enhance communication and collaboration beyond the limits of our community, and ensure that our students have the tools they need to prepare for post-secondary readiness.
