TSIA-2 Information

Request a Paper Test

H.B. 1225 allows the option to request a paper STAAR assessment by families and subject area teachers. Paper tests are limited to 3% of students taking each test.

Requests are granted on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made by the deadlines:

Fall STAAR: Sept. 15
Spring STAAR: Dec. 1

Requests are not needed for students who require a paper test due to a disability. For each campus, contact the Campus Testing Coordinator for more information.

Instructions to Access Test Scores via Ascender Parent Portal

STAAR and EOC Results have arrived! Parents and families are critical partners in a child’s success. The Texas Education Agency is committed to making sure you are informed and have an accurate picture of your child’s progress. Follow these 4 steps to “Log In & Learn More.”

FOLLOW 4 EASY STEPS!

1  Starting June 7th (EOC) & June 14th (Grades 3–8), log into Ascender’s parent portal. Follow this link: https://portals05.ascendertx.com/ParentPortal/login?distid=146907

2  Click on the summary tab to access your child’s 2024 STAAR report card. Look for the green box labeled “Texas Assessment” & click on it. This takes you directly to your child’s results.

3  Learn more about your child’s STAAR results, including how your child answered test questions, and find personalized resources to support learning at home.

4  At the beginning of the school year, discuss the results with your child’s teacher and work together to support your child’s learning. Visit TexasAssessment.gov for more information.
