Agricultural Land Information

Land used for agricultural production is taxed on its production value, not market value.

  • This table shows some of the most common land types in our area and the production / taxable value of each per acre.

  • The table also shows how much the annual tax bill would increase if the tax rate increases by 10.23 cents.

  • For example: 50 acres of Improved Pasture valued at $140/acre would see an additional $7.16 a year on the total school tax bill.
