The Tarkington ISD Board of Trustees, Interim Superintendent Dr. Randal O’Brien, and the entire district are pleased to welcome Mrs. Lisa Stephens as the new principal of Tarkington Elementary School.

Mrs. Stephens brings more than 30 years of experience in Texas public education and is passionate about supporting teachers, strengthening instruction, and ensuring student success.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Sam Houston State University and a master’s degree from Lamar University. Throughout her career, Mrs. Stephens has served in a variety of teaching and leadership roles. In Splendora ISD, she worked as a teacher, assistant principal, and reading instructional coach.
