NOTICE OF 30-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING

2026–2027 DRAFT TARGETED IMPROVEMENT PLAN 

Tarkington Independent School District invites parents, students, staff, community members, and other stakeholders to review and provide feedback on Tarkington Middle School’s proposed 2026–2027 Targeted Improvement Plan.

The draft plan will be available for public review on the Tarkington ISD and Tarkington Middle School websites beginning September 18, 2026. The 30-day public comment period will remain open through October 18, 2026.

The district welcomes stakeholder feedback regarding the goals, strategies, activities, and supports included in the proposed plan. Written comments may be submitted electronically through the feedback survey or mlariviere@tarkingtonisd.net or delivered to the Tarkington ISD Administration Building at 72 CR 2268, Cleveland, Texas 77327.

A public hearing will be held to present the draft plan and provide stakeholders with an additional opportunity to offer comments.

Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Tarkington ISD Administration Building

Stakeholder feedback received during the public comment period and public hearing will be reviewed and considered before the Targeted Improvement Plan is finalized and presented to the Tarkington ISD Board of Trustees for approval.

A copy of the draft Targeted Improvement Plan is available below and may also be reviewed in person at the Tarkington ISD Administration Building during regular business hours.
