Accountability Ratings
"Texas provides annual accountability ratings for school districts which are based primarily on performance on the STAAR test (Click Here to view current year ratings). These ratings examine student achievement, progress, and efforts to close achievement gaps. When districts or schools do not meet these standards, the state may provide required targeted or comprehensive school-wide support through the State’s Effective Schools Framework."

Texas Academic Performance Reports
The Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) pull together a wide range of information annually on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas. The reports also provide extensive information on staff, programs, and demographics for each school district.
Texas Education Code Chapter 39 requires each district’s board of trustees to publish an annual report that includes the TAPR, campus performance objectives, a report of violent or criminal incidents, and information received under Texas Education Code 51.403€ from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The board of trustees shall hold a hearing for public discussion of the report, and they shall widely disseminate the report within the district.
