The Tarkington Ladyhorn volleyball season came to an end on Monday, November 5 with a loss to Livingston in 5 games. Although the Ladyhorns did not get to advance to the next round of playoffs, they had an incredible season with a 7-3 season in district play, a win against Little Cypress – Mauriceville in the first round of playoffs and a win against Brazosport in the second round of playoffs. Varsity Coach, Cassie Street said, “I could not have been more blessed with a better group of girl athletes to begin my varsity coaching career. They made this transition as smooth as possible. To say that I am proud of their performance this season would be an understatement. I can’t thank the school, community, and people of Tarkington enough for the support and backing they showed throughout the season. It is heartbreaking to see it come to an end, but I have learned so much through the process. These girls finished with an amazing 31-16 overall record. They played with heart until the very end, and I could not be more proud of each and every one of them.” Tarkington ISD is very proud of the girls and the coaches for a great season and are looking forward to next year.
