Bus Conduct

Bus reports are cumulative from the beginning of the school year for middle school and high school students. Reports for primary and intermediate school students will be cumulative per semester. Should the rules be broken, the bus driver will notify the student immediately, and the following consequences will be invoked:

  • First Bus Report: The student will have a conference with the principal or designee, and/or other disciplinary action as outlined in The Code may be taken. Parent(s) or guardian will be notified of the offense, the consequence, and/or other disciplinary action.
  • Second Bus Report: If the student receives a second bus report, he/she will be removed from the bus for a minimum three (3) days, and/or other disciplinary action as outlined in The Code may be taken. Parent(s) or guardian will be notified of the offense, the consequences, and/or other disciplinary action.
  • Third Bus Report: The student will be removed from the bus for five (5) days and/or other disciplinary action as outlined in The Code may be taken. Parent(s) or guardian will be notified of the offense, the consequence, and/or other disciplinary action.
  • Fourth and Subsequent Bus Reports: The student will be removed for a minimum of ten (10) days and/or other disciplinary action as outlined in The Code may be taken. Parent(s) or guardian will be notified of the offense, the consequence, and/or other disciplinary action.
  • Fifth Report - The student will be barred from riding the bus for the remainder of the semester.

Any flagrant misbehavior could result in immediate removal from the bus so long as such removal does not endanger the health or safety of the student. Restitution for any damages incurred must be made before returning to the bus.
